New EWA Management Committee

The European Water Association (EWA) held its Council Meeting on May 27th, during which the National Members elected a new President and Vice-President for the 2025–2027 term.
New Leadership Elected
- Harsha Ratnaweera from Norway was elected as the new EWA President.
He will lead the association through the upcoming two-year period, bringing with him extensive expertise and a strong commitment to advancing the water sector across Europe.
- Elisabeta Poci from Albania was elected as the new EWA Vice-President and will also serve as Members Representative for the same term, reinforcing her influential role within the Association.

Changes to Members Representation
Following the decision of Mara Pavelic and Johann Wiedner not to seek re-election, the Council elected two new Members Representatives for the 2025–2027 term:
- Raymond Erpelding (Luxembourg)
- Jesper Goodley Dannisøe (Denmark)
Leadership Transition
Wendy Francken from Belgium concludes her tenure as EWA President and now assumes the role of Past President while continuing her contributions as a member of the EWA Management Committee.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Wendy for her dynamic and dedicated leadership over the past two years. Our warmest thanks also go to Mara Pavelic and Johann Wiedner for their valuable service and commitment to the EWA.
