Honorary Membership
EWA awards the Honorary Membership to individuals, who have done a remarkable job in the European water sector.

Honorary Members 2026
During the Council Meeting at IFAT Munich on May 4, 2026, Fabio Tatáno (IT), Prof.-Eng., PhD in Sanitary-Environmental Engineering at the University of Urbino “Carlo Bo,” was surprised with the Honorary Membership of the EWA.
Fabio has been an active member for many years, representing the EWA at numerous events, including the JSWA/EWA/WEF Specialty Joint Conference.
He has also served as Chair of the EWA ETSC (European Technical & Scientific Committee) for 12 years, contributing significantly to the association’s technical and scientific advancements.
Congratulations on his outstanding work and long-standing support, which has left a lasting mark on the association.
