Harnessing AI for Water: Lessons Learned and Future Horizons
As digital transformation accelerates across industries, the water sector is embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to tackle its most pressing challenges—from leak detection to predictive maintenance and climate resilience. AI is no longer a future concept—it’s a present-day tool reshaping how we manage water. From smart sensors to digital twins, utilities are already seeing results: reduced water loss, improved energy efficiency, and enhanced system reliability. But it is also bringing new questions and problematic for the water actors: cybersecurity, new skills needed, funding, sustainability, legal framework around smart tools, to name a few. The speakers will discuss AI implementation in the water sector and identified barriers as well and how to tackle them.
The webinar, titled Harnessing AI for Water: Lessons Learned and Future Horizons will take place on January 15th.
This event is organized in cooperation with IFAT Munich 2026.
