EWA/IDEXX Webinar: Water Reuse and Microbiological Requirements

Online Webinar

Water reuse is becoming a key building block of Europe’s response to water scarcity, climate change and circular economy objectives.

EU Regulation on Water Reuse for agricultural purposes has already established harmonised minimum requirements for reclaimed water used in agricultural irrigation, including microbiological quality criteria, monitoring obligations and risk management. In parallel, the recast UWWTD has reinforced the link between wastewater management and public health through a stronger One Health approach, greater transparency and new monitoring responsibilities.

This EWA/IDEXX webinar will focus on microbiological requirements for water reuse in agriculture as well as in industrial and other non-potable applications.
The discussion will highlight the growing importance of fit-for-purpose water quality, microbiological monitoring, and risk-based management as the foundation for safe, practical and publicly trusted reuse schemes.
