Session 2: Water Infrastructure Management in a stressed environment
Europe’s water systems are facing unprecedented pressure—from climate-driven storm surges and aging infrastructure to the threat of emerging contaminants.
To address these challenges, the European Water Association will use IFAT 2026 as a platform to advance the European Water Resilience Strategy and its Water Efficiency Principle, fostering a proactive dialogue on solutions.
This three-part symposium will deliver sharp insights and actionable strategies to strengthen water resilience across the continent.
Session 2: Water Infrastructure Management in a stressed environment: Detect leaks, inspect pipes, and unlock investment strategies to future-proof water networks.
Explore how digital monitoring and predictive maintenance are transforming utility operations. This session also highlights successful stories driving infrastructure renewal across Europe.
Session 3 will focus on Contaminants and Circular Recovery and will take place on May 6th at 10:30 am. You can learn more about this session here.
