The IRF European Riverprize

The IRF European Riverprizecelebrates successful approaches that have overcome the challenges to river restoration, ecosystem health, water quality and climate change within the social and political context of the European continent.

A panel of European experts will judge the IRF European Riverprize, which is administered from the European Centre for River Restoration (ECRR).

No cost are applicable to this prize, and the European winner of this year's prize is automatically qualified for the next round of the prestigious Thiess International Riverprize.

The Thiess International Riverprize is awarded for excellence in river management. The 2015 Thiess International Riverprize winner will receive a trophy and a cash prize and the finalists will receive a trophy. A twinning grant may also be made available to the winner to enable their knowledge and expertise to be shared.

The prize award ceremony will take place in Brisbane, Australia on September 22nd, 2015.
