Bio-energy and By-product recovery in Integrated Water and Biosolid Management

Today more than two thirds of Europeans live in towns and cities. Urban areas concentrate most of the environmental challenges facing our society but also bring together commitment and innovation to resolve them. The European Green Capital Award has been conceived to promote and reward these efforts.

The European Technical and Scientific Committee of EWA, in close cooperation with EWA's national member in Slovenia, the Slovenian Association for Water Protection (SDZV), will organise the workshop on "Bio-energy and by-product recoverin in integrated water and biosolid management". Under the auspices of the European Green Capital, awarded to Ljubljana in 2016, the workshop aims to give a focussed view of the topic of sustainable water management in the cities and river basins with a special emphasis on bio-energy recovery and wastewater as a resource.

The workshop will be held at the exquisite City Museum of Ljubliana, situated at the heart of the Capital of Slovenia. (http://www.mgml.si/en/) For more information on how to reach the venue will be presented here soon.
